About Me

Hi my name is Sphelele Mzimela, so nice to meet you and welcome to my blog! I am an actress, writer and musician, loving big sister, loving daughter, loving friend, born again Christian and raging feminist. I currently work as an actress on the Mzansi magic soapie Isibaya, have you seen Kentucky?:-)  Yes that’s me, KFC fried chicken should sponsor me already.
I feel so blessed to find myself working with such talented actors and actresses, praise be to Jesus.

I’ve been known to be a drama queen( I honestly don’t know what people expect from me), I love music, I dance a lot, I am always writing songs and singing my lungs out , I laugh way too much and way too loud and can never seem to stop myself from buying make-up. I don’t want to talk about clothes; I have a really questionable sense of style.

I am inspired by women like Shonda Rhimes, Viola Davis, and as of late Celeste Ntuli.

On this here blog I want to share my experiences on life, love, work, God, and being a black woman. This blog is just the start of a dream and vision I have in my head of the very many things I want to do with my life and for the glory of God, that while I finesse the hell out of my acting career.

Woman, Don’t worry.

As you may know sometime in 2016 I accepted Christ as my Lord and saviour and haven’t looked back. This decision came at a time where my life seemingly wasn’t moving forward and I was struggling with so much personal turmoil. I took some time to re-evaluate myself, my choices till that point, what kind of woman I wanted to be and most importantly […]

Yes I am a CHRISTIAN woman and raging feminist

Yes I am a Christian woman and raging feminist. Upon having a look at my blog my friend Motlalepule had a couple of questions for me, she was mainly interested in how it is possible for me to be a born again Christian woman and a raging feminist at the same time. In the midst of our conversation I realised that in her mind feminism meant direct disrespect and hate towards men, I took time to explain to her what feminism means or atleast what it means to me. For those of you who don’t know, Feminism is: The advocacy […]
